A Storied Tradition
Every Spring for 30 years, golfers from all parts of the Valley have been gathering for one of the largest charity golf events in Northern California. The Catholic Charities golf tournament features exhilarating play with a field of 216 golfers, a lively hosted post-tournament happy hour, a fabulous sit down dinner and awards ceremony. Become part of the tradition that has raised millions of dollars to support the Catholic Charities community based programs that fight the cycle of poverty right here in Santa Clara County.
Peacefully tucked in and around the hills, a short drive south of fast-paced Silicon Valley, Cinnabar Hills Golf Club blends championship-caliber golf with spectacular views was designed by award-winning architect John Harbottle III. Each hole has been crafted to maintain the natural slope of the area and to protect the wildlife residing here. Hundreds of old oaks were incorporated into the layout and seedlings from those oaks were nurtured and planted to further enhance the landscape. Inspiring the golf club's logo, red-tail hawks can be seen flying over the course or even perched in a tree. Named for the rich, red ore mined here during the 1800's, Cinnabar Hills offers golfers three distinct nines: the Canyon, the Lake and the Mountain.

Besides offering stunning views from several holes, Cinnabar Hills, is not only beautiful but challenging to the experienced golfer. One of Cinnabar Hills unique and impressive amenities is the Brandenburg Historical Golf Museum, the only one of its kind in the Western United States.
The funds raised at the annual golf tournament help support over 40 programs Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County provides to over 40,000 individuals and families of all cultures and beliefs struggling to overcome poverty. These programs help move people from poverty to self-sufficiency by providing housing, education, employment, older adult and behavioral health services for the poor and marginalized here in our community.
